Winter Whiteout Weekend
This winter, on February 11th and 12th, a number of locals and visitors will be "Going for the Gold" during Aspen Valley Ski Club's Winter Whiteout Weekend. AVSC is hosting a Go for the Gold Gala which helps raise money for the AVSC, an organization that provides ski and snowboard programs to over 1,700 local children, including scholarships to over 400 low-income participants. Those attending the Go for the Gold Gala have the opportunity to enjoy a glass of champagne on the 14 minute Gondola ride up to the top of Aspen Mountain's Sundeck, dine on a magnificent dinner served by the award-winning chefs of the five star Little Nell Hotel, and participate in the live and silent auction. Last year's items included buying Aspen Mountain for a day of skiing just for you and your friends, exclusive helicopter skiing trips and a brand-new Porsche Cayenne SUV.
