$10 comedy tickets-no joke!
Stand-up comedy is back at the Cabaret Room at the Silvertree Hotel! Celebrate Thanksgiving with a break to your funny bone on Friday evening, Nov. 24, at 8:00 p.m. Featuring headliner Louis Johnson, with Steve Gastineau opening. Both comedians are very likeable and non-offensive, but it is an adult show--rated PG-13 to R. Tickets are only $15 ($10 if purchased early; see information below).
Louis Johnson has been performing in comedy clubs, one-nighters, concerts, cruise ships, and casinos since 1983! He also has appeared on national comedy shows such as CAROLINES' COMEDY HOUR, SHORT ATTENTION SPAN THEATRE, COMEDY ON THE ROAD, STAND UP STAND UP, and his own SHOWTIME "Comic of the Month" Special.
He's also appeared with Gladys Knight, The O'Jays, Tower of Power, Jeffrey Osborne, Gil Scot-Heron, Chaka Khan, Kenny G, and many others.
He's completed 15 U.S.O. "World Comedy Break" Tours (yes Bob Hope's U.S.O.!). And 1 LFOR(Laugh Force) European Tour. Italy, Albania, Greece, Iceland, England, Scotland, Hungary, Belgium, Croatia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Macedonia, Bosnia, Panama, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, Japan, Korea, and Alaska (yeah yeah yeah it's not overseas, but as long as it takes to get there it should be!)
He is a regular Midnight Show headliner on Carnival Cruise Lines.
Louis won Showtime Networks "Funniest Person in America" contest. Declared the winner after a nationwide phone-in vote! He won cash (long gone) and a cable special (which aired for a month--hence the title Comic of the--well you get it).
The Denver Post states that "Johnson is a polished performer with dynamic delivery."
The Atlanta Journal calls him "..a keen chronicler of society."
The Indianapolis News says, "His jokes make fun of life's everyday occurrences that break all racial and economic barriers."
The Rocky Mountain News chimes in with "...he is a comedian with graceful physical skills and has the ability to wander into tough subjects and still get a laugh."
The Honolulu Star Bulletin states that "Johnson is just serious enough to give the audience something to think about."
Steve Gastineau was voted among the Top 4 Comedians in Colorado by NBC affiliate 9News and was also called "One of the Funniest Comedians in Denver." Steve has spent the past ten years making audiences roar with his sharp wit and unique approach to social commentary. His lighthearted delivery combined with uncommon observations of every day occurrences has made Gastineau a favorite at comedy clubs and college campuses around the country. Steve has appeared with David Spade, Louie Anderson, George Wallace, Ellen DeGeneres and Wayne Brady, to name just a few.
