SHAWN COLVIN & JOHN HIATT PERFORM FREE SUNSET CONCERTS

Massive Music & Movies brings fine art, fine films, and outstanding music to Snowmass Village August 2-4

Snowmass Village, Colo. -- Sold Out! That's what fans might hear if they're seeking tickets to the Shawn Colvin and John Hiatt concerts in the front range area this summer. But Coloradoans shouldn't despair. For the price of a ticket to the Denver shows, they can get a full weekend away in the mountains of Snowmass Village, Colorado, where the temperatures are cooler, Colvin and Hiatt perform free shows, and diverse cultural and mountain activities await.

"This is one of the best weekends of the summer to head to the mountains," says the town's Marketing Director Susan Hamley. "Between the free movies and music, the affordable lodging, and the added bonus of the special arts events, the town will be hopping and the mountain wildflowers popping."

In its fourth year, Massive Music & Movies has developed a reputation for bringing world-class acts to Snowmass for free concerts. Past acts have included Keller Williams, Son Volt, The Derek Trucks Band and Nickel Creek. This year Snowmass also offers top rock & roll documentaries provided through a collaboration with Aspen Film, arts programs at Anderson Ranch Arts Center, and a decades-old popular arts fair with diverse new offerings and wares.

In between the music, movies, and art, Snowmass Village is home to over 40 miles of trails for hikers, bikers, mountainboarders, and wildflower enthusiasts. Additional activities include golf, jeep, chairlift, horseback and balloon rides, two disc golf courses, and free guided nature hikes.
