Kickoff the winter season with a myriad of Aspen Snowmass events this Thanksgiving weekend.
Alpine World Cup Ski Racing – Enjoy three days of cheering on the greatest female races in the world on Aspen Mountain at the FIS Alpine World Cup Ski Race. The event begins Friday, November 25th with the World Cup Kick-Off Party and the Dine Around the World event. Racing begins at 10:15am on Saturday with the Women's Giant Slalom and culminates Sunday afternoon with the Women's Slalom Finals.
Opening Day on Aspen Mountain – Opening day in Aspen is an event not to be missed. Aspen Mountain is scheduled to open on Thanksgiving Day at 9am. Due to the great early season snow, Snowmass Mountain opened early on Saturday, November 19th and is another great option for Thanksgiving weekend skiing.
Bud Light Hi-Fi Free Aspen Concerts – Stop by the base of the Little Nell Run on Aspen Mountain on at 6:30pm on Saturday, November 26th for the first of the 2011-2012 Bud Light Hi-Fi Concert Series. Cowboy Mouth is performing and it's sure to be a great outdoor concert.
Snowmass Ice Age Discovery Center – Learn more about the Ice Age finds at the Ziegler Reservoir in Snowmass Village. The Snowmass Discovery Center is fun for the whole family and is open daily beginning Thursday, November 24th from 10am to 4pm in the Snowmass Village mall.
Aspen Recreation Center – Swim in the lazy river, rock climb on an indoor wall, ice skate in the Lewis Ice Arena, and more at the Aspen Recreation Center this weekend. Closed on Thanksgiving Day, the Aspen Recreation Center will re-open on Friday.
