Latest Updates on the Base Village at Snowmass
On-Mountain Improvements
Sheer Bliss Lift
The new $7 million lift replaces the old double chair with a quicker and more comfortable ride. The new lift has been repositioned so that the bottom terminal is slighly lower and to the east and the top terminal is higher. Skiers can now access the Cirque terrain without hiking and can ski into Up 4 Pizza. The quad chair takes nine minutes and can carry 2,000 passengers an hour
Village Express Lift
The existing Fanny Hill chairlift was replaced with a six-passenger lift - the Village
Express. A speedy 9.5-minute ride gets you from the bottom of Fanny Hill to the top of
Sam's Knob, with a mid-way unloading station.
Village Express accommodates 2,800 people per hour, is 10,057 feet long and has 2,174 vertical feet
of rise. The lift cuts total riding time in half and eliminates waiting in two additional lift lines to
access the same terrain!
Sky Cab (Mall Connector)
A fast and fun aerial link between existing Snowmass Village Mall and new base village joins commercial
centers and integrates conference/community activities. This two-minute ride (think of it as an elevator on cables
between two villages and retail centers) provides uphill or downhill connectivity to a one-of-a-kind
Snowmass Village complex. Cabins are six-passenger.
Existing Lodge Improvements/Renovations
Snowmass offers 29 lodging properties, ranging from budget to full service deluxe hotels
to luxury condominiums or townhouses. In Snowmass, 95% of lodging is ski-in/ski out.
The New Base Village
The Treehouse, Capitol Peak and Hayden Peak lodges are completed. A number of restaurants and night clubs are open.
Construction Impacts to Guests Will Be Minimal...
Snowmass' 3,128 acres of skiing/snowboarding terrain are not affected by the Base
Village construction. All terrain and lifts will operate as usual.
